Privacy Policy

J&B Garage Doors respects the privacy of people who visit our website or contact us for service. This notice explains the types of information the website may collect, how that information is used in the normal course of responding to customers, and how private service-request information is kept separate from public website content.

INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE

When you request service, ask for an estimate, contact J&B, or use a website form, you may provide information such as:

- first and last name;

- phone number;

- email address;

- service address, city, state and ZIP code;

- the type of garage door help you need;

- details about what the door or opener is doing;

- project goals or equipment information you choose to provide;

- scheduling or availability notes; and

- optional photos you choose to upload.

This information is used for private customer-service and operational purposes. It is not automatically published on the J&B website.

HOW J&B USES SERVICE-REQUEST INFORMATION

Information submitted through the website may be used to:

- review and respond to your request;

- determine whether the job is within J&B's service area;

- prepare for an estimate, service visit or follow-up conversation;

- communicate with you about the requested work;

- create or update the private operational record used to manage the request;

- troubleshoot website or submission problems; and

- support ordinary business, recordkeeping, security or legal requirements when applicable.

The website is not intended to become a separate public customer database.

OPTIONAL PHOTOS

Photos submitted through the Request Service form are intended for private service evaluation.

Submitting a photo does not give the website permission to automatically publish that photo as a project image, advertisement, review image or Local Proof record.

If J&B later wants to use a customer-job photo publicly, that image must go through a separate review and publication process. Private customer information, residential identifiers and other sensitive details are excluded from public project data.

LOCAL PROOF AND PUBLIC PROJECTS

J&B may show selected completed projects on the website using a separate Local Proof process.

Website form submissions do not automatically become public project records.

Public Local Proof is limited to separately reviewed information such as:

- an approved public project identifier;

- service performed;

- city and state;

- public-safe problem and solution summaries;

- approved project images;

- approved public review information when available; and

- links to related J&B service pages.

Private customer names, phone numbers, email addresses, residential street addresses, payment information, invoice numbers, CRM identifiers, internal notes and private job records are not part of the public Local Proof feed.

WEBSITE ANALYTICS

J&B may use website analytics to understand how visitors use the site and whether important actions such as phone clicks or successful service requests are working correctly.

The current J&B analytics plan is designed so service-request personal information is not intentionally sent to analytics.

Information that must not be sent to J&B's website analytics includes:

- customer name;

- phone number;

- email address;

- residential street address;

- free-text service messages;

- uploaded-photo URLs; and

- private customer, CRM or job identifiers.

Analytics may use non-personal website context such as page path, service category, approved campaign information and public-safe project identifiers where appropriate.

The final published policy must continue to match the analytics tools and settings actually deployed on the website.

COOKIES AND WEBSITE TECHNOLOGY

The website platform, analytics tools and other approved website functions may use cookies, local storage or similar browser technology where needed to operate, measure or secure the website.

J&B should not enable advertising or personalization features simply because the platform offers them. If the website's tracking practices materially change, this notice should be reviewed and updated to match what is actually in use.

SERVICE PROVIDERS

J&B may use outside service providers to support functions such as:

- website hosting and website-building tools;

- customer relationship and lead handling;

- email or communications;

- website analytics; and

- approved workflow or integration services.

Those providers may process information only as part of the services they provide to J&B and according to the settings, agreements and permissions applicable to those systems.

This notice does not list a provider unless that provider is actually part of the final production website or customer workflow.

SERVICE REQUESTS AND MARKETING

Submitting a Request Service form is for the purpose of helping J&B respond to the garage door service or estimate request.

The core website launch does not require customers to agree to unrelated promotional marketing as a condition of requesting service.

If J&B later adds optional promotional email or text-message consent, that choice should be presented separately from the service request, should not be preselected, and should not be required to request garage door service.

DATA RETENTION

This notice does not promise a fixed public retention period.

Customer and operational records are retained according to the business, contractual, system and legal requirements that apply to the records in use. If J&B later adopts a specific public retention policy, the published notice should be updated accordingly.

SECURITY AND PRIVATE DATA

J&B's website and connected service providers are intended to keep customer-service information within authorized operational systems rather than exposing it through public website components.

No internet service can guarantee absolute security. If a material privacy or security issue is discovered, J&B should address it through the applicable website, service-provider and business processes.

THIRD-PARTY LINKS

The J&B website may link to other websites or services. A third-party website's privacy practices are governed by that provider's own policies rather than this J&B website notice.

CHANGES TO THIS NOTICE

This notice may be updated when the website, forms, analytics, service providers or business practices materially change.

The version published on the J&B website should reflect the actual production configuration in use at that time.
